Take your design from paper to working digital file using computer aided design software such as Adobe illustrator. You will learn how to draw various fashion illustrations and render them on this platform to reflect the qualities and details of your design. A must technique for every fashion designer to convey creative concept in a professional presentation with technical specification.

Objectives

Identify different CAD software’s in the market,
Identify different menu, tools and palettes functions and interfaces in the Adobe Illustrator (AI) software to illustrate basic fashion illustrations and presentations.
Create designs by using basic design template in the software based on deign requirement
Illustrate designs for trims, patterns and graphics
Interface Adobe Photoshop software with AI for use in editing fashion design and presentation
Simulate rendering to the fashion illustration and presentation using Adobe Photoshop software
Understand different modes of output, graphic files and formats used for fashion illustrations and presentations
Evaluate fashion design illustrations and presentations and make change where necessary

Academic Requirements

Local Students
- GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- WSQ ES WPLN Level 4 and above
International Students
- High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis AND/OR
- Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test
English Language Proficiency
- Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR
- IELTS score 4.5 or TOEFL score 450

Non-Academic Requirements

Assessment Methods

Successful completion of all modules within the course

Graduation Criteria

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
Assessed and be competent for every module
Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required.

Awards

Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
