The WSQ Diploma in Fashion Technology in Apparel Design and Product Development is for those who are interested to enter the fashion industry especially in the area of product development and technical design. The design process goes beyond drawing a pretty picture. This program emphasises the provision of materials technical specification, stitch and seam constructions, pattern development and more. At TaF.tc, you will learn in-depth knowledge in fabrics, quality, size specifications, drafting and sewing in order to be enabled to convert a pretty picture into a real garment.

Academic Requirements

Local Students
- GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- WSQ Advanced Certificate OR
- WSQ ES WPLN Level 5 and above
International Students
- High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basic AND/OR
- Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test
English Language Proficiency
- Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR
- IELTS score 4.5 or TOEFL score 450

Successful completion of all 13 modules within the course

Graduation Criteria

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
Assessed and be competent for every module
Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required.

Awards

Upon successful completion of each module within the course, student will be awarded a WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). After successful completion of all 13 modules within the course, student will be awarded a WSQ Diploma in Fashion Technology (Apparel Design and Product Development) together with transcript. WSQ certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
