Gather the necessary knowledge of footwear cost computation before it goes into production. Learn how to communicate concise information with the production team and calculate cost factoring in the materials, labour and consumption. This course will act as a guide on the feasibility of your footwear production plans.

Objectives

Identify type of materials and components required for footwear
Create a technical package for the footwear based on gathered materials and component specifications, designs, sketches with specifications and size specs.
Identify various factors affecting footwear costs
Compute estimated consumption for materials and components based on given size specs, sketch with specs
Compute overhead and labour costs
Calculate final footwear costs to involve all components
Analyse and propose alternatives to reduce footwear cost

Academic Requirements

Local Students
- GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- WSQ Advanced Certificate OR
- WSQ ES WPLN Level 5 and above
International Students
- High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basic AND/OR
- Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test
English Language Proficiency
- Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR
- IELTS score 4.5 or TOEFL score 450

Successful completion of all modules within the course

Graduation Criteria

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
Assessed and be competent for every module
Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required.

Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
