This course provides a unique hands on experience to make your very own pair of men’s shoes. With access to special tool and machinery, craft your own pair of men’s shoes under the guidance of our professional trainers. Taking a peek into the world of bespoke shoes, you will learn skills and techniques that goes into traditional shoe making.

Objectives

Identify tools, equipment and components required to construct men’s shoes in accordance to industry norms or organizational standards
Comprehend step by step process in men's shoes production
Cut and skive shoe uppers and other components based on given shoe patterns
Stitch shoe uppers, other components and accessories
Assemble the various shoes’ components to complete the men’s shoes
Perform finishing on men’s shoes
Evaluate the workmanship and construction of the men’s shoes
Take corrective actions to rectify abnormalities/defects

Academic Requirements

Local Students
- GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- WSQ Advanced Certificate OR
- WSQ ES WPLN Level 5 and above
International Students
- High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basic AND/OR
- Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test
English Language Proficiency
- Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR
- IELTS score 4.5 or TOEFL score 450

Non-Academic Requirements

Minimum Age: 18 years old and above

Assessment Methods

Successful completion of all modules within the course

Graduation Criteria

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
Assessed and be competent for every module
Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required.

Awards

Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
