Academic Requirements

• Overall pass in GCE “N” Level with at least a Grade 5 in any two subjects or pass in TCMHC GCE “N” Level in-house test
• Pass in GCE “N” Level in Chinese with minimum Grade 5 and or pass in TCMHC GCE “N” Level in-house test

Non-Academic Requirements

• At least age of 16 or above

Modules Covered

• Anatomy and Physiology
  • The aim of this module is to understand and explain the functions of the functional systems and recognize the symptoms, causes and effects of diseases and disorders of the functional systems. The functional systems covered are: skeletal, muscular, skin, cell, circulatory & lymphatic, neurological, endocrine, respiratory, digestive.
• Holistic Massage
  • The aim of this module is to understand methods of consultation, common ailments and contraindications to massage, hygiene practices, the classical massage movements and their physiological and psychological effects, and to evaluate and review massage treatment/programmes.
• Professional Conduct & Business Awareness
  • The aim of this module is to enable student to understand types of business, advantages and disadvantages of each type of business, finance and costing, advertisement and promotion plan. It explores the types of businesses, advantages and disadvantages of  each type of business, finance and costing, advertisement paraphernalia, and chances of promotion in the industry.

• Distinction 90%-100%
• Merit 75%-89%
• Pass 60%-74%

Graduation Requirement

• Local student must achieve 75%
• International student must achieve 90%

Awards

Certificate will be awarded by International Therapy Examination Council (UK). Student will be awarded with an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage.

Note: Local Students may receive course fee subsidy of up to 95% and may use their SkillsFuture credits to pay for the course.
