The Diploma in Civil Engineering is a course that provides students with foundation knowledge in civil engineering within the context of a built environment. The theories and concepts of civil engineering are taught at the fundamental level. There are other modules in this course that will provide a wider knowledge that are related to civil engineering work. Students will attain the broader perspective of Civil Engineering.
This course would give students sufficient knowledge to gain entry level jobs in civil engineering for construction works and maintenance.
Students will learn the technical issues, procedures and conducting of civil engineering works. The course will equips student the work and health safety issues related to the construction environment. Managing the technical and business resources in a construction environment will provide students with value added knowledge. Classroom sessions will include the use of innovative skills, group work, collaborative learning, and presentation & communication skills for a holistic learning experience.
