• Foundation Module - Contemporary Jewellery Design
  • Immerse yourself into the world of jewellery design by kicking off with the foundation module – Contemporary Jewellery Design, and venture on to acquire advanced techniques through the manipulation of resin and acrylic, metal and wood, enamelling and glass, and silversmithing.
• Resin & Acrylic
  • Sparked by the discovery of new resins that are easy to handle and increased affordability, entrepreneurs and hobbyists are now actively creating resin jewellery to express their creativity. Acrylic is also commonly used in jewellery design as it is inexpensive, versatile, lightweight and comes in a variety of colours. Upon mastering the techniques of working with resin and acrylic, enhance your skills by progressing to our advanced classes such as metal and wood, enamelling and glass, silversmithing. Through a series of demonstrations and projects, learners will experience the exploration into the concept of transformation from liquid to solid, and solid to liquid using resin and acrylic.
• Metal & Wood
  • Combination of silver, gold and wood allows designers to create individually unique pieces that stands out from the rest. Upon mastering the techniques of working with metal and wood, enhance your skills by progressing to our advanced classes such as resin and acrylic, enamelling and glass, silversmithing. This is an intermediate level course that allows learners to further explore contemporary Jewellery Design through the use of wood and non-precious metals. Learners will experiment with form, structure, volume, joining methods and surface manipulation.
• Enamelling & Glass
  • One of the oldest and most widely-used techniques in jewellery making and decorative arts, enamelling allows jewellery-makers to create exquisite-looking pieces. Upon mastering the techniques of enamelling and glass, enhance your skills by progressing to our advanced classes such as resin and acrylic, metal and wood, silversmithing. To further enhance learner's knowledge in material applications in Jewellery Design, learners are exposed to enamelling and contemporary applications in glass.
• Silversmithing
  • Learn this traditional form of jewellery metalwork technique and apply it to create contemporary pieces that are functional, decorative yet wearable! Upon mastering the techniques of silversmithing, enhance your skills by progressing to our advanced classes such as resin and acrylic, metal and wood, enamelling and glass. Through a series of lectures, demonstrations and individual projects, learners are introduced to specific processes in silversmithing, including a variety of forming and joining method.
