The BA (Honours) Graphic Design (Top-up) programme is designed for students interested in developing a professional art and design practice in the contemporary visual arts. BA students are equipped with conceptual and technical skills relevant to developing a contemporary art and design practice.
The UWE-FMDS’s academic programme is based on the premise that inventive and committed art and design practice will emerge from self-directed and motivated learners, which enable students to negotiate multiple art-related disciplines and to transfer relevant skills to a specific practice. UWE- FMDS educates its students for a professional role in the broader fields of contemporary art and design through the teaching of technical and theoretical skills and the synthesis of knowledge into practice. The students here develop generic skills including the ability to apply unconventional problem- solving skills and to manage self-directed studio projects that is integral to success in a wide variety of careers.
