As its name implies, this course covers resort and hotel management from a variety of operational perspectives. A variety of components of resort and hotel management are covered in the readings and in the lectures. Areas covered include: general management, hotel and resort operations, recreational management and guest activity planning.
This subject examines resort management and Professional Meetings and events In operations in the context of its relationship between the natural resource base recreational facilities developed from this base. It provides operations of resorts and hotels. The course also emphasizes the recreational issues in resorts and hotels and reviews guest activity planning alongside developing knowledge of meetings and events within the industry.

Assessment Methods
Courses are assessed by a combination of coursework, practical assignments and examinations. Formative assessments will also be included, as well as self- and peer-assessment and a research project.
Graduation Criteria
Students must successfully complete, or be credited with, at least 360 credits within the stipulated period of study as set by the University, either via module exemptions or completion of requisite modules.
