This programme aims to help students to develop a critical understanding of management in the context of travel, tourism and hospitality (TTH). It will give you an overview of the TTH industry and equip you to find employment with management prospects particular in the TTH sector or to continue your professional or academic studies in the related field. The course consists of 5 theoretical modules which are conducted face to face over a period of six months and another six months of industrial attachment to familiarize with the practical aspect of management in the TTH industry. The theoretical modules are as follows:

Organisational Behaviour
Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
Human Resource Management
Managing the Customer Relationship
Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Operations Management

Academic Requirements

A Diploma in the field of Tourism and Hospitality OR Diploma in any other fields with minimum 2 years working experience in Tourism-related field
A pass (C6) in GCE O level English OR obtain 60% marks in JE College English Language Placement Test
Alternatively, students may be considered if there is 2 years working experience in a related field for diploma obtained in other fields

Non-Academic Requirements

At least 18 years old

- Theory Examinations

Grading Criteria

Higher Distinction: > 80 marks
Distinction: 70-79 marks
Credit: 60-69 marks
Pass: 50-59 marks
Fail: < 50 marks

Graduation Criteria

To be able to obtain the award certificate, students are required to have 90% (for international students) or 75% (for local students) of attendance and pass grade in all Module Examination.
