Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management is based around gaining advanced hospitality skills and managerial experience. This program takes hospitality education to a higher level than the Diploma in Hospitality Management. This Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management course will teach you the skills required to succeed in the Hotel Management industry and will combine practical experience with business and management knowledge. You will learn the theoretical side of the hotel industry and study areas that provide you with a wide scope of understanding of the business. Given the far-reaching relevance of customer-focused business skills, this program offers you a scope for career progression that goes well beyond the hospitality industry.

This programme aims to help students to develop a critical understanding of management in the context of hospitality industry. This qualification builds on the skills and knowledge from Diploma of Hospitality Management to further develop your understanding in the areas of: business planning, business operations, managing human resources, marketing strategies and property management. The course consists of 4 theoretical modules which are conducted face to face over a period of eight months to familiarize with the practical aspect of management in the hospitality industry. The theoretical modules are as follows:

Academic Requirements

A Diploma in Hospitality field or any Diploma with minimum 2 years relevant working experience in related field.
A pass (C6) in GCE "O" Levels English OR completion of English Language Placement test with at least 60% marks offered by JE College.
Alternatively, students may be considered if there is 2 years working experience in a related field for Diploma obtained in other fields

Graduation Criteria

To be able to obtain the award certificate, students are required to have 90% (for international students) or 75% (for local students) of attendance. Students must pass all the 4 modules and a satisfactory report of their industrial attachment in order to qualify for the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management.
